Breast Pump Hire

If, for any reason, you need to express milk daily, perhaps because your baby will not latch on or because you are returning to work, there is a local agent for Medela breastpumps who works on a voluntary basis. A hospital standard electric pump can be rented for £19 or £35 per month (depending on the type of pump), payable by debit or credit card. There is also a one-off charge of £14 (or £21 for a double pump) for your personal attachments to the pump.

For more information or to hire a breast pump call 07005 860 128 or send an e-mail to

Caesarean Support Group

Are you facing the possibility of having a caesarean? Have you had a previous caesarean and would like to pursue the possibility of having a Vaginal Birth After Caesarean (VBAC)? We would like to establish a group that can provide encouragement to mothers as they endeavour to get the birth they want. The group will be led by a mother who has had a caesarean and VBAC delivery. It will be an opportunity to discuss concerns and issues around a forthcoming labour and birth or explore feelings after birth in a supportive and neutral environment.

If you are interested in finding out more about the group or would like to help in establishing a group, please send an e-mail to
birthmyway@hinct.org.uk
