Antenatal Classes

Finding out what is likely to happen during pregnancy and birth and in the weeks following delivery can boost your confidence and help you make the right decisions for you and your partner.

Our branch offers antenatal classes, run by qualified teachers and students who have reached the necessary level in their training, for all expectant parents. Classes, held in the last 3 months of your pregnancy, are informal and friendly and offer plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Topics covered include:

There are usually between 10 and 16 participants on each course. Courses are usually held in a teachers home but some are held in local halls.

We currently have two qualified teachers and three trainees and we offer a range of classes: Demand for our classes is very high so we recommend that you contact us to book when you are 12 weeks pregnant.

Teachers are required to keep up to date with the latest developments. They must register each year with the NCT to receive their Annual Licence to Practice. They do not offer specific medical advice and parents are asked to take these questions to their midwife or doctor.

Prices are available on request. For more information and to book contact enquiries on 07005 860 132 or please go to www.nct.org.uk for details of our antenatal classes to register your interest.
